The grey clouds over Notting Hill were quickly dispelled by the exuberant colour and spectacle of Carnival 2010. Hundreds of thousands of revellers and participants have turned out for the two-day event, billed as Europe's biggest street party. Sunday's parade - on Kid's Day, when the costume prizes are awarded - exploded into life with Phoenix Carnival Band... ... closely followed by the 60-strong Paddington Arts Carnival Mas and their theme, DiverseCity 2010. Paraders Iasha and Sarah have been preparing for carnival for several months.
